God Doesn't Abandon

Today we talk about our tendency to set up safeguards in our lives out of fear that God will abandon us. We reflect on Matthew 6:26-34, in which Jesus reminds his followers that they have no need to worry about anything because their heavenly Father provides for all their needs, and we discuss how we’ve experienced this provision in our own lives, especially during times of darkness and struggle.

Questions to ponder:
What are some of the things you cling to instead of God?
What are the safeguards you’re setting up out of fear that God won’t show up?
How can you practically take steps to be more dependent on God?
